1. I read that he bought 5 bottles of the the special "President's Spring Break"
beer from one of the local breweries. I am sure they are having a fine time. The town is totally abuzz now.

9. Yeah it is.
Every siren has people rushing with their cameras in hopes that it is the President's motorcade. They get disappointed when it is just a fire truck.

I could hear jets overhead all night last night and this morning. It is all anyone is talking about right now.

2. He deserves a little vacation.

He has a tough job, and I think he is doing pretty good, as has been congress, it can't be easy.

An earlier poster made a disparaging remark, and I actually posted in that thread. Been thinking about it, I was not agreeing with the remark, actually I think both Congress and the Executive have been exceedingly brave in standing up on many issues, especially with how hard it is to get there message out, and with limitations from some obstructors.

10. He ate at 12 Bones when they came here to prep for the debate.
He liked it so much, it seems, that they made sure to hit it when they got in yesterday. 12 Bones closes around 5 and isn't open on the weekend. He made a point to get back to it.

Of course, it is the best BBQ in town. They always have a line out the door, even more since Obama drew greater attention to it.

11. They actually got off the plane,
went to the Grove Park...had lunch on the way I think...then changed clothes...went hiking near the Blue Ridge Parkway...went back to the hotel...and then Obama played a short round of golf. That's all before dinner!!!!

My sister had Press Credentials which got her on the tarmac in special seating, but she said NO ONE was getting near him. Security is really tight over there. I'm glad. :hi:

17. I knew about it but couldn't get down there in time.
Rosebud has a sign "Out of Afghanistan". Obama will have to pass that every time they go to or from the GPI.

21. The Biltmore Estate is pretty secure already.
It sits on some 700 acres and can only be accessed through a gate with a $40 ticket monitored by Biltmore police. They know who is on the estate at any given time.

They would just have to check out the employees and sweep the house. But, that house is under constant surveillance anyway. You aren't even allowed to photograph inside the house.

its tough to be everything to everyone. He's one tough cookie to be able to deal with it all and still have that wonderful smile he so easily shines upon us.
