PASTOR Naboth Tumuheirwe of the Redeemed Church of Christ assaults wife
ALFRED TUMUSHABE
MBARARA

PASTOR Naboth Tumuheirwe of the Redeemed Church of Christ at Makenke in Mbarara District on Sunday allegedly beat his wife after a disagreement over management of family finances.

Ms Alice Susan was admitted at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital reportedly in a critical condition.
Reports say the pastor allegedly punched Ms Susan in the stomach.

Mbarara DPC Ivan Nkwatsibwe told Daily Monitor on Tuesday that police arrested the pastor after a tip off from a relative.

Mr Nkwatsibwe said the pastor regretted the incident and requested to have the matter settled within the family. He said Pastor Tumuheirwe had been released on police bond.

Pastor Tumuhairwe could not be reached for comment.
