Have you actually READ that "contract from America" the teabaggers are pushing?
http://www.thecontract.org/the-contract-from-america/

I just read it, and they're actually pushing what looks like Shrub's agenda! Most of the BS in it can't be done, but I guess that crowd isn't smart enough or doesn't pay enough attention to know that! GRRRRRR...............

3. Demand a Balanced Budget

Begin the Constitutional amendment process to require a balanced budget with a two-thirds majority needed for any tax hike. (69.69%)

You must balance the budgets, but basically never raise taxes.

5. Like I said, most of it can't happen. All of them when asked will they give up or take a
reduction in their SS check & Medicare coverage, they promtly say NOOOO I can't afford to do THAT! Ask them if they're willing to cut a big chunk out of Defense, and I'm sure they'd say the same. What they apparent;y don't know or care is that those 3 things are 80% of the expenses of the Fed. govt!

6. I think it's meant to mandate gutting all social services.
When we have nothing left but military, I suspect they'll be alright with tax hikes again.

3. They are being used...like free prostitutes...
When I actually heard a teabagger tell me that we needed LESS regulation
on the banks--because too much regulation is what caused the financial
collapse, the housing crisis and the bank bailouts--I about fell over.

Seriously--do these people even stop for one second to think about how
bad they are being played?

But don't tell them that though...they think they're the smartest people
on the planet. Glenn Beck and his chalkboard are giving them insight
and knowledge that the average person just can't understand.

Being psychologically invested in Glenn Beck being right causes people to fight
against their own interests--and FOR the corporations that are mounting a Fascist
attack on this country. Yet, they'll spout off about George Washington and
Thomas Jefferson and how the Constitution is being trampled--while they shill
for the corporations that are destroying our democracy.

Boggles the mind...

4. "Individual Liberty" and "Limited Government"?
No doubt they'e not talking about the individual liberties to choose an abortion or marry someone of the same gender, or about a government limited enough to allow such liberties.

10. Suckers
2. Reject Cap & Trade

Stop costly new regulations that would increase unemployment, raise consumer prices, and weaken the nation’s global competitiveness with virtually no impact on global temperatures. (72.20%)

4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform

Adopt a simple and fair single-rate tax system by scrapping the internal revenue code and replacing it with one that is no longer than 4,543 words—the length of the original Constitution. (64.90%)

7. Defund, Repeal, & Replace Government-run Health Care

Defund, repeal and replace the recently passed government-run health care with a system that actually makes health care and insurance more affordable by enabling a competitive, open, and transparent free-market health care and health insurance system that isn’t restricted by state boundaries. (56.39%)
8. Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy

Authorize the exploration of proven energy reserves to reduce our dependence on foreign energy sources from unstable countries and reduce regulatory barriers to all other forms of energy creation, lowering prices and creating competition and jobs. (55.51%)

10. Stop the Tax Hikes

Permanently repeal all tax hikes, including those to the income, capital gains, and death taxes, currently scheduled to begin in 2011. (53.38%)

Translation (obviously), cut taxes on the wealthy and cut regulations on powerful companies.

14. Nostalgia For 2004...
Yep, I've met 'em...those who not only miss boooshie boy, but thought he was a "great" president. They're busy revising history. Iraq? Well that was Clinton's fault for not invading Iraq in 1998 and (get ready for this one)...that made 9/11 happen....boooshie was just a victim of circumstances. The economy? Clinton again...he forced all those poor people into risk mortgages that cause the bubble and boom (nary a word of the Wall Street ponzi games). Pick a topic, it's everyone elses fault (specifically Democrats)...defecits...definitely Democrats cause all they do is "tax and spend". The value of living by talking points...you never have to face reality.
