RENO — U.S. Senate candidate Sue Lowden said Thursday Harry Reid is trying to make her look bad over remarks which included suggesting a return to the barter system with doctors.

A number of Democratic Party figures as well as several cable news shows have ridiculed the comment as making no sense in the modern world.

“Harry Reid is trying to change the subject from his 2,700 pages of government run health care,” she said following a breakfast speech in Reno.
