Congress passed the health care reform legislation, he said, but most congressmen "had not read them, and had no idea what was in them," he said.

It's heartbreaking to see the Congress pass legislation "that will break the most vibrant economy is the world," he said. The key to economic recovery is to create jobs in the private sector, "and the government is destroying jobs in the private sector."

Instead of more legislation and taxes, he said he had filed a bill to provide a "tax holiday" to let people keep money to drive an economic recovery. In addition to creating new jobs, "it would get people to notice how much money they are paying in taxes."

He said his bill would have given the average American an extra $5,000 for a year; the President's plan, hailed by Congress and the media, might save $60.

The Stupid...it has to hurt, especially when it is that dug in...:shrug: All Republicans know is Tax Cuts. that has helped them win election after election but has devestated America. Reagan was the one that really started it. Look who added to the debt and who reduced it.
