PA State police remove trooper as Roethlisberger assistant

The Pennsylvania State Police have rescinded a contract permitting Trooper Ed Joyner to work for Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Trooper Joyner has served as an assistant for Roethlisberger, and was with him on the night the Steelers star was accused of raping a woman in the restroom of a club in Milledgeville, Ga. Georgia authorities did not charge Roethlisberger in the incident.

A release from the state police said that after an initial review of the investigation conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, it has decided to terminate the contract allowing him to work for Roethlisberger on his off hours.

"The reasons indicated for the rescission are that Trooper Joyner violated the stipulations of the approved application; that he exceeded the scope of the employment description listed; and that in doing so he is alleged to have demeaned the image of the Department," the release said.

State police will continue to investigate the trooper's actions during the Georgia incident. "Should violations of regulations have occurred, no matter the location of this incident, appropriate actions will be taken," the release said.

He and the other local cop who were pimps for Roethlisberger need to be fired! Haven't heard a peep from the Coraopolis dept who employ the other cop who is on loan to the DEA.
