Sarah Palin's 'Christian Nation' Remarks Spark Debate
Advocates of Church-State Separation Say Palin Is Distorting Founders' Intent

Is America a Christian nation?

Sarah Palin said on Friday that it's "mind-boggling" to suggest otherwise.

But two groups dedicated to the separation of church and state are now speaking out against her, arguing that she is misreading the founders' intent.

"It's incredibly hypocritical that Sarah Palin, who disapproves of government involvement in just about anything, now suddenly wants the government to help people be religious," Barry Lynn, the executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, told ABC News.

"It is wildly inconsistent with her views on limited government to get the government involved in matters of faith."

And Palin took aim at Obama repeating an often cited but incorrect claim that Obama said he believed that the U.S was no longer a Christian nation during a 2006 speech.

"And then, hearing any leader declare that America isn't a Christian nation and poking an ally like Israel in the eye, it's mind-boggling to see some of our nation's actions recently, but politics truly is a topic for another day."

6. Sounds like Bill "The Bloody" Now Writes Directly On Her Hand...
We know this grifter has no clue about the world outside Wasilla and what she sees on Faux...totally spoonfed what to say in small soundbites and verbal spasms. It's a colaboration of years of indoctrination from her fundie religious roots merged with the double-speak and conveluted "logic" of ideologues like Kristol, Rove and Luntz. It's this twisted "view" that shows up in every one of her now predictable and boring boiler plate rantings. She's like an old 386 computer where you put in the data and it takes a while for the hard drive to find the proper byte and then all of a sudden displays it...her hard-drive light always is stuck in the "search" mode.

What's interesting is the attention this speech gets considering these type of misrepresentations of the Constitution and the framers intent have been brewing for decades. The mix of myth and projection turns Jefferson from a diest into some strict "constructionist" and Madison from a voice of the contrarisan to some kind of editor or "true interpreter"...all depends on the twisted purpose of the speaker and the audience its intended to incite.

By her "celebrity", Mooselini may just expose the dark underside of the religious "right" and the GOOP...showing how both batshit crazy and dangerous her ignorance and the devotion of her followers are.

8. She's always inconsistent. Like campaigning for McCain instead of the tbag favorite Hayworth.
Her sycophants overlook it though.

10. It's a grueling schedule she's laid out for herself
Grabbing money with both hands can be a very exhausting thing, and she has very little time to do it. Also.

12. 'Sarah Palin said ... it's "mind-boggling"' ... How much does it take to boggle Sarah's mind?
I am guessing most actual historical facts would boggle Sarah's mind.
