So, I listened to the RW radio today
Edited on Mon Apr-19-10 06:26 PM by underpants
In the morning I tune to our local RW radio station. THE dominant radio station in the area.

The morning host posits the following about the Census:

In the city of Richmond (read :BLACK) there has been about a 65% return rate on the Census. He says that he supposes that most of the non-responses are from "the Courts" meaning the projects, "the 'hood" his producer in the background says. The host goes on to say how dangerous it will be for census takers to knock on doors in "the Courts" because "you never know who or what is on the other side of that door".

Blatantly racist.

He then has an "expert" on from George Mason University (reknowned conservatives) to decry the "Cash for appliances" program that the state of Virginia (thank you Tim Kaine) will be starting this weekend. The "expert" admits that he doesn't know much about he EnergyStar program other than that Federal regulators caught several appliance makers making bogus claims on energy savings. This was not evidence of good enforcement it was a sign that the whole thing should be scrapped. The "expert" admits that he doesn't know how the state will operate this system and he doesn't know WHY this is being done. He just doesn't like it.

Then at lunch I hear Rush on an hour long tirade against Clinton who said Rush's nonsense "Didn't make any sense". Rush was on a rant about all the terrorism that happened on Clinton's watch and how HE initiated terrorism "once at Waco no actually twice... Ruby Ridge"

Ruby Ridge happened in 1992, in Idaho. Clinton was the governor of Arkansas.

2. Democrats are responsible for everything bad; Republicans for everything good.

Katrina? Clinton's fault. 9/11? Clinton's fault. The longest & largest economic boom since WWII in the '90s? Reagan & Bush I. Iraq? Clinton. The 2008 recession? Obama. The 2010 recovery? Bush II.

See how that works?

8. Their timeline is as relentless as it is nonsensical
The only credit that has been established for Bush/Cheney was the greatest national security failure of any organized system of government in the history of human existence so they've got that going for them....which is nice

3. Why bother Rush with facts?
They only get in the way of his frothing, eye rolling radio tantrums.

7. I caught 1 minute as I got in my car for my lunch siesta
and 1 minute as I woke up from a blissful 30 minute nap

Clinton drew him back out. We all know that this was no accident-Clinton (and Obama) knows who comes out ahead against Rush...pretty much anyone.

5. Yeah, but you see, that's how powerful the Clinton's were.
They were actually running the entire country before they entered the White House!

You really must keep up with the right wing talking points.
