and working class citizens?

Why on earth aren't they protesting WALL STREET FINANCIERS who manipulated the government, including the court systems, to bring this nation to its knees? Or the defense industry executives lining their bank accounts while the nation's young shed their blood while the war profiteers are buying yet another summer house and paying for yet another boob job for yet another mistress?

THAT is the reality of what is going on in this country.

These tea people are the product of ONE THING - lies told to them on an hourly basis by the CORPORATE MEDIA whose only interest is in serving the fascists who control the size of their paychecks.

In return, the militia is their "family" not unlike the camaraderie of gang membership.

POWER and MONEY are worshipped as GOD.

25. And RW Authoritarian Leaders love their easily-lied-to RW Authoritarian Followers
Really, could ANYONE wish for such a gullible and unquestioning audience. Like the Communists (LW Authoritarians) they despise, as long as THE PARTY tells them a thing, it's true.

And it doesn't even have to make sense. It can completely contradict yesterday's Bushiganda or Pravda and it never even enters the Followers' minds that this is a problem.

18. I think CNN is far worse than FOX, because it wears the MASK of being unbiased though it serves the
same masters as FOX. Few understand that when AOL/TimeWarner bought CNN it meant a complete fascist turnover to BushInc's pals - Kingdom Holdings controlled a large stake - the Bush/UAE clans would end up essentially controllling most all broadcast news by 2000.

20. You are right, back in the day if you wanted the real, actual truth, you
went to CNN. Many don't realize how that changed, especially after Ted Turner sold it. How I wish he were at the helm again...sigh.

7. because they are cowards who cannot face reality
They like to pretend they are #1 and all 'the welfare queens' are shaking them down. It is a more comfy delusion than the reality that corporations are enslaving just about everyone, corporations own/control pols and get the laws THEY want so what used to be criminal is legal for them to do. Corporations are the force eroding liberty and security, but that is just too tough to face, so they use a tall, think black guy and people on the left as scapegoats

And they whole PR campaign is designed, led, and funded from the corporations that are the real threat.

But teabaggers are too soggy in the head to face reality.

8. Basically because they're stupid
They aren't too well educated, they are too self-centered to ever empathize with the minorities or the downtrodden, they are scared to death of change, they've always voted Republican and aren't about to stop, and they like simplistic answers to nuanced problems.
Oh...almost forgot. A lot of them are bigots.

15. Royalty
Inbred into many of our fellow travelers is this idea that a chosen few of us are royalty and those royals have the right to lead us slaves.

Coupled with the racism and other forms of hate, the very idea of a slave-class individual as the PRESIDENT turns their whole world upside down.

They are screwed up. This whole liberal/progressive/egalitarian mindset and course our society is traveling is messing with their heads and their belief systems.

All they know is that they're for America and freedom although they don't exactly know what that means. So they believe whatever faux tells them. Beck, hanity, limbaugh and the rest tell them that their crappy lives are the result of the government's interference and they believe it because they don't want to take responsibility for what goes wrong in their lives.

40. Because they're misinformed as a matter of choice.
This is a crowd that credits government not at all for what it does, and blames government for anything which goes amiss in their lives. These are people who have been told the government, not the superwealthy, is at fault for the nation going to her knees, and were foolish enough to believe it.

In other words, you're absolutely right.
