Freeper altruism.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2494933/posts

What Obama, and alot of liberals dont understand, is that for Tea Partiers, and conservatives in general, its not necessarily about the PERSONAL. In other words, MY taxes don't have to go up, (in fact they might even go down), for me to believe that tax rates are TOO HIGH. Contrary to popular opinion, we DO think of others. We understand the burden that a high tax load places on producers, and thus society in general.

For example, you don't have to be Jewish to be worried about increasing antisemitism.

By Obama's logic, white people should have stayed out of the Civil Rights movement of the 60's. Sheesh, what ASSinine logic.

2. Dear Freepers
Thank you for your "concern" over how much I pay in taxes. And yes it is quite hard to pay those taxes at times.

However I do it because I understand that there are certain things we need government (as an extension of the people's will) to do.

In short, there ain't no free lunch and one gets what one pays for.

BTW, it might help your cause if you keep others on the right from reffering to people working long hours for little pay and that need social programs as "parasites'.

Stuff liek that REALLY undermines the perception of Conservative Compassion.

3. Despite agreeing with the central idea of that - that one can be a concerned and helpful "outsider"
that is such a ridiculous statement beyond a thin veneer of "fairness" for all. They are such tools for the rightwing elite who have convinced them how difficult it is to survive on a mere few billion with those monstrous unfair taxes! I mean, if taxes go up, people will suddenly not want to become rich or successful at all!1! And it's not like people actually use any public services or infrastructure to, you know, actually build their business empires or anything, so why should they share?

4. It is the lottery mentality. "someday I might strike it rich & won't want to pay taxes"
Aside from it being bs, there IS that part to it.

5. most of these fools are elderly men though
who don't seriously imagine they will become wealthy in the future.

i think it's much more headache-inducingly insane than that.
