So, this is the weekly poll in our newspaper. Yeesh. And the comments posted to it are predictably repulsive. (www.greeleytrib.com)

4. Other: Pay for my son's college tuition

We make too much money for tuition assistance.

And because out mortgage is well below property valuation, we don't get much tax relief from our mortgage.

Nevertheless, we did get a refund, and that's going to cover half of his college tuition.

I have a job, it pays the bills, and I pay taxes.

I have nothing to complain about.

I would not trade places with anybody who's unfortunate enough to pay no taxes.

I wish I could do more to help those less fortunate than me to get back on the payroll and pay taxes.
