Screw the Teabaggers. Let's have our own Revolutionary War flag!

Bedford Flag, flown by the minutemen from Bedford, MA. Cool, but kind of busy.

"Betsy Ross" flag. Simple yet elegant.

Bunker Hill Flag. Nice.

Green Mountain Boys. Vermont is super-blue, after all, and there's a touch of badassery to the GMBs.

Bennington Flag. I love this one.

1. All of these flags suck.
The Gadsden flag in particular sucks, and I say let the teabaggers have it.

3. We love that flag and often fly it at our home
It's history goes back to Ben Franklin and we're not giving it up. What I plan to do is find some flag to fly along side of it to show I'm a liberal. Maybe I'll just make one myself.

4. It's a fucking political cartoon on a yellow field. It doesn't get much worse.
The only reason anybody remembers it is because it was in all the school history textbooks as an example of really bad flag ideas floating around in the 18th century. Hell, it was bad by their standards.

7. Your personal taste doesn't mean anything to me
And I don't recall the Gadsden flag being used as you say. I remember learning the history of it going back to Ben Franklin's illustration. I have respect for its history. Your opinion on this means nothing to me.

6. Teabaggers deserve to have their own flag
One with a giant tea bag on it, maybe surrounded by images of Rush, Beck, Palin, Malkin, Hannity, Coulter . . .

5. The Gadsden flag IS the flag to rally round - TeaBaggers use it ignorantly and corpmedia LETS them
because THEY have no clue what it means.

The coiled snake and words mean this country would be a nation that NEVER strikes first, but, will strike BACK.

That is a PROGRESSIVE ideal that refuses the goal of imperialism.

The corpmedia IGNORED those of us flying that flag when Bush invaded Iraq unprovoked.

If TeaBaggers had ANY devotion for what the Gadsden stood for, they would have been hoisting that flag to protest Bush's imperialism.

9. During the Vietnam War the right wing tried to grab the Stars & Stripes
Nuts to that. So I had both the U.S. flag and peace flag decals on my car. Same during the W administration.

11. Looks like some on the left are as ignorant about the Gadsden flag as the RWers. Sad.
If they understood its meaning they'd be fighting like hell to spread the true meaning in full confrontation with the TeaBaggers.

10. I like the Betsy Ross flag (13 stars in a circle) better than the actual US flag;
the 50-star flag is too crowded, too busy, and too full of itself (i.e. "lookit all the states we got"). Of course, anyone who dares to suggest that we change the flag design (or just 'tone it down' a little) would be branded a traitor.
