Fall-out begins for Charlie Crist...Connie Mack resigns as his campaign chair.
Crist's campaign chairman resigns after SB6 veto

I want to tell you that our Florida Republicans stick together when they decide to harm the teachers.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Charlie Crist's political mentor, former U.S. Sen. Connie Mack, has resigned as Crist's campaign chairman in his race for the U.S. Senate.

Mack wrote a two-paragraph letter Thursday evening to his one-time protege, saying Crist was wrong to veto a bill (SB 6) that would have made it easier to fire teachers and tie their pay to student test scores.

Mack said the veto undermines the state's educational system and the principles that he's always believed in. Mack said Crist's decision was unsupportable.

Mack addressed the letter to "Charlie" and said he valued their long friendship, but could not continue to serve as his campaign chairman

1. Crist has crossed the line this time. This is Jeb Bush's first step...
back into a national agenda. The Rovians/neo-cons do not like a traitor to the group.

2. F*CK Conie Mack! he shows it's all about being with the "in" crowd.
When Crist was 'destined' to win, he jumped right on board, but when he failed in his job as chairman of the campaign, unable to expose Rubio's past, he bails on Crist.

These GOP whores don't have any honor. I'm so glad Charlie did it, regardless if it was just for political reasons. I hope he runs independent because that's his strong suit in the polls.
