Reid Hits Back at Edwards Over Iraq Timetable
WASHINGTON — With Democrats moving away from an insistence on a timetable for withdrawing American troops from Iraq, the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, hit back at one of the contenders for his party's presidential nomination, John Edwards, who has urged Congress to send President Bush the same bill over and over until he signs it.

"I care a great deal about John Edwards, as well as his wife and his children. He's not in the Senate. I am," Mr. Reid told reporters at a briefing in his Senate office yesterday.

"He doesn't have to cast votes here in the Senate. We do," Mr. Reid said of Mr. Edwards.

1. While that is true, Edwards is right ! We should not be giving in to this president....
The public is behind us.

It is time to draw the line and make Bush change his ridiculous ideas about this war.

Keep reminding him that the Congress sent him the funding he asked for and more, all he has to do is sign it.

4. And When Edwards WAS Actually in the Senate...
Edited on Thu May-03-07 06:33 PM by MannyGoldstein
...he sponsored starting an ill-advised war of choice. He was even on the intelligence committee, so he knew the info was nonexistent.

Now that he's out of the Senate, he summons the raw courage to demand that other people force a withdrawal.

Marvelous.

(What they really need to do is impeach - in case nobody's noticed, our President is crazy as a shithouse rat - with nukes.)

9. OK I put you down as favoring the war.... got it!!
That must be true because you oppose Edwards, and do not want him speaking out against the war, so you must be for the war, right?

11. If we need to synchronize our watches, everyone just wait until the anti-Edwards posters shows up!
I guess there just are not enough Republicans to criticize, and the other Democratic candidates are perfect in every way and do not deserve the attention the anti-Edwards posters bring to this task.
