This commercial break...
1 ad for mailing off all your gold to a complete stranger who will appraise it (do people really do this?).

3 (yes 3) ads for 2 separate companies that will buy your annuity or structured settlement (I'm guessing this is the one last drop of blood they can squeeze from us?). Although it's nice to see opera in a commercial, even if it's on a bus.

2 ads for a reality show about a team of repossession agents. I know they're just doing their jobs, but I long for the days when repo agents were the bad guys.

I'm hoping that, like jobs, tv commercials are a lagging indicator too.

1. Noticed that today as well, when watching a bit of the tube during lunch
There must be a huge profit margin in the structured settlement thing. I am sure those ads are not cheap to produce or to air.
