Ronald Reagan is apparently coming back from the grave to run for President.
That's all I'm hearing. Reagan Reagan Reagan Reagan Reagan Reagan Reagan Reagan Reagan Reagan. Oh, and Reagan. He's a god. He was the best thing in the history of politics...nay, the history of the world. Not one single fucking word about ANY of the people "debating" tonight, unless it is to say that they'll all be evoking the wonderousness that was Ronald Reagan. All you lurking freepers, fuck you and your "liberal media" bullshit. The whoring for the GOP doesn't get any more shameful, shameless and OBVIOUS as this Reagan barrage on our sensibilities.

2. I think it is because they are holding it at the Reagan library
or some such building named after Reagan.

Other than that, yeah, I agree.

than any of the bunch the Republicans have trotted out so far.

Prop him up in the Oval Office, and drag out your old clothes...the eighties are back!

Now if I could just find my Loverboy and A Flock of Seagulls albums...

6. I haven't watched MSNBC all day and I'll probably have to skip it tomorrow as well.

The Reagan hero-worship crap is unbelievably thick over there at the moment because of the debate and its location.

10. I had to turn off MSNBC.
Couldn't stand to hear anymore about St.Ronald. Even my husband asked me if he was that good of a president. I always just thought of him as a dottering old fool. (Reagan, not my husband.)

I wonder if his brain is any better than it was when he was president.

11. Sweet Jesus, how I hate these people.
The spectacle of the Republicans dragging Reagan's corpse from coast to coast, having multiple funerals for him, and their digging him up and parading him around AGAIN just shows how desperate they are.

13. Is this maaybe the aniversary of his death? I've also noticed
people on every channel talking about him. There has to be some reason he's his everyone's radar in these last few days. Yes, I'm too damn lazy to go look up the date he died, but that's the only reason I can think of that would cause such attention!

14. Are you joking?
Okay, you're not...I don't mean to be snarky, but you actually seem to be giving the media the benefit of the doubt that they're not just blatantly paid whores for the GOP. I'm obviously a bit more cynical than you.

16. Oh yeah. I do remember hearing that too. Tweety said something
about Nancy personally inviting each candidate and HIM to attend. I guess that sort of explains some of the talk, but they really ARE doing overkill!

17. Here's an easy ad for the Dem candidate
"Well, once again the Republicans are running on Reagan's coattails.."

Cut to Iran Contra hearings.. Reagan: "I don't recall.. I don't recall.. I don't recall.. I don.."

Cut to Gonzales hearings.. Gonzo: "I don't recall.. I don't recall.. I don't recall.. I don.."

"Any questions?"
