Republicans Cheat
We know this - from cheating in 2000, to the backwards B girl to O'Keefe and his selectively edited 'Pimp and Ho' video.

They make shit up. Karl Rove is a master at just plain making shit up.

So tell me, why should we believe this whole "Republicans beaten up for wearing Palin pins"?

Chances are, they either made this shit up, and did it to themselves. Or they agreed to be beat up by BYU linebackers, report to a New Orleans hospital and say "Deeeeemocraaaats did thisssssss...."

I don't buy this shit for a minute

1. Democrats look the other way
Except for those treasured few with beautiful, unbent spines.

2. Yeah, whatever happened
I don't buy the bullshit about the Palin pins for a New York second.

People get their asses kicked like that for a lot of reasons. I just don't buy this one.

5. They either got mugged, and used the Palin buttons to their advantage
Or the guy was calling folks the N word around there, and used this as a ploy

8. I'm going to reserve judgement until all the facts are in
However, I'm trending towards deeming that "Palin button" excuse as pure right wing bullshit.

9. It's not enirely inconceivable
that a bunch of the local lads took exception to the usual racist tone of your average teabagger bash and decided to pick out a couple of easy targets, although it seems a little less likely that they'd choose young, healthy suburban brats who might be able to fight back.

The inconceivable part is that Palin pins were the motivation. No way, no how, nothing doing.

12. The only reports of Palin buttons are from GOP blogs...
Which seems to validate my "Making Shit up" theory

15. Oh, yeah, I agree about that part
It's total horseshit.

What I'm saying is that it's not totally inconceivable that it was political or racial. It's farfetched, just not impossible.

There is one hell of a lot more to this story. The cops are keeping completely mum and that's unusual.

11. Looks like there were injuries...
But no mention of Palin pins on this media report, that claim is only showing up on Repub blogs.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal's chief campaign fundraiser is recovering from injuries she suffered in a Friday night altercation with a group of people in the French Quarter.

The governor's office said Monday that Allee Bautsch suffered a broken leg and her boyfriend suffered a concussion and fractured nose and jaw in the alleged incident.

It happened after a fundraising event at Brennan's Restaurant on behalf of the Louisiana Republican Party.

Jindal was at the event, but was not present when the incident occurred.

Jindal spokesman Kyle Plotkin said Bautsch had surgery over the weekend and is facing a recovery time of two to three months.

He said New Orleans police are investigating the incident and the governor's office would have no further comment
