Purported doctor on Texas A&M message board claims he ‘laid off my first Obama voting employee.’

Posting on a message board for Texas A&M students and alumni, a user named “dermdoc” wrote last week that he “laid off my first Obama voting employee today.” “Our reimbursement rates are spiraling downward, taxes are projected to go up with Obamacare, so I did it,” the poster wrote, adding: “I made this decision because I can.” CBSNews.com’s Brian Montopoli reports that he tried to contact “the person who we believe to have been responsible for the posting, but our requests for comment went unanswered.” “It is kind of interesting watching their face as you explain to them the economic consequences of the policies of the guy they voted for,” wrote dermdoc. “That is the way business works,” he added. “If that makes me an ahole, so be it.” Here’s a screenshot of one of dermdoc’s messages:

These purported concerns over burdensome costs on physicians is pure fear-mongering. The new health law actually “includes an increase in Medicaid payment rates,” which is “expected to be pretty helpful” for most doctors. That is one of the reasons why the American Medical Association endorsed the Affordable Care Act. The American College of Physicians called the law “an extraordinary achievement.”

3. This has been debunked. He outed himself.
I can't find the previous thread confirming this but will try.

4. He admitted that it was a hoax, and blamed everyone on the internet
for not fact-checking his asinine comments. What a jerk. :eyes:

5. There was a thread up on DU yesterday about this. The guy came back and said he was lying
someone found out who he was in real life, so he made another post claiming that he made it all up. The poor wittle teabagger claims he is being "harassed" :eyes:

6. "purported". It's an anonymous poster who could easily just be a teabagging janitor.
Why don't we all just wear red or blue armbands and be done with it.

7. We had a small business and over time several employees became
very active born again Christians. These people actively preached while we were out of the office! I can't imagine what would have happened if I had thought of firing them. Someone needs to make a case out of these *sswipes! I shake my head and wonder why we are always the ones bending and doing the right thing only to be boinked in the butt by these folks.

8. You would have been within your rights.
As employees, they have no right to proselytize other employees or customers on company time.

A written company policy should be put into force, with all employees and management signing off on it.

Documentation of any complaints made by other employees or customers, verbal warnings, written warnings, then termination for refusal to follow policy.

The more paper one has with times, dates, and names on it the easier it is to terminate employees that refuse to follow the rules.

9. There is a guy on FB polls
who is a small business owner in Alaska who claims that if he finds out that any employee is a democrat or a liberal he will fire them using any excuse he can come up with because "they are lazy and and don't want to work anyway" and encourages everyone to do the same. He has been saying this crap for months, maybe this is some kind of new freeper revenge tactic.

10. Is he related to Palin?
It's what she would advocate, after all. Of course, she would never admit it, but it's what she wants others to do to further her cause.
