1. *Sigh* We knew it was coming...
Why couldn't it have been one of the right-wing bastards?

At least the timing is good.

15. He wanted to leave a long time ago.
I wish him well -- he has done a great service to this nation.

The president will have to find another servant of our nation of his caliber.

2. Obama will have to make two picks to tip the court back in a liberal direction, right?

Edited on Fri Apr-09-10 10:46 AM by Botany
Obama can only move the court if one of the 4 d-bags quit or die .....
(An Obama re-election would be a big help too.)

Kennedy 74
Scalia 74 and fat
Thomas 62
Roberts 55 and has some kind of problem with his brain

Ginsburg 77 and w/ health problems

7. Scalia strikes me as the kind of guy who will never retire.
Like Rehnquist, he loves the robe too much.

14. I agree with you that Scalia isn't going anywhere.
They'll have to pry the gavel from his cold dead hands.

17. "some kind of problem with his brain" .. there's an understatement.
Thought it's nothing compared to the problem with his soul.

Thank you sir. You've been an anchor and deserve a long, relaxing, comfortable retirement.
