2. Good...
...although my bumper sticker is probably a pipe dream...but it might be fun to put it on where there are surveillance cameras and then see what happens.

12. I know!!!
And USA Today did something where they were at 28% favorable, which is essentially the brain-dead core of the Repuke Party...the ones who still supported Bush to the bitter end.

7. I always thought it was a way Repubs could act as ugly as they want...
without it reflecting directly on the Republican brand. Look under their tent at who they really are and how they behave if you doubt it. It's ultra-conservatives and movements the GOP previously shied away from.

10. Very good point. This is classic Repub playbook. Good cop
Bad cop. The Tea Party folks (well, the ones not carrying the home-made misspelled signs or the racist signs)were carrying mass produced signs from the GOP. The GOP wants the tea party out there AND they want to look statesmanlike by, occasionally, scolding selected tea partiers. (see Coburn's statements of last week. BUT, not this week!) Bush and Cheney used to do this all the time. Cheney would make odious statements. Bush would make "statesmanlike" statements. And nobody knew what the GOP brand really was. BUT, the GOP could always point to either Bush or Cheney on an "as needed" basis, depending on the audience.

14. It's also their classic M.O....
To have such transparent and obvious bullshit right out in the open and swear it's anything but what it really is. Just like when torture became "enhanced interrogation" and they always swore "we don't torture". Its just more bullshit from the party of bullshit...and no.
