Bishop of Tenerife Blames Child Abuse on the Children
Via Joe.My.God. ~

Quote of the Day - Bernando Alvarez

"There are 13 year old adolescents who are under age and who are perfectly in agreement with, and what’s more wanting it, and if you are careless they will even provoke you." - Tenerife Bishop Bernando Alvarez, blaming child molestation on the victims. Young children and young teenagers really want to have sex with
hairy, ugly old priests. They want to be traumatized and they
want to spend the rest of their lives suicidal, depressed and
unable to trust anyone.

Children want this hell on earth...obviously.

15. Trust me...I'm not defending this sick pedophile...Just wanted you to know
that it was NOT THAT LONG ago that even PSYCHIATRISTS were essentially "blaming" the victim.."She was seductive"...e.g. a five year old girl.

I'm not kidding...I remember reading a psychological journal in a doctor's office -- A well received one -- in 1976 in which the "doctor" evaluated a five year old girl in terms of her "seductiveness". The family history was such that this little girl's MOTHER was also incested by her father...According to the shrink, this was an example of a "family history", by nature OR nurture, of "seductive" little girls"...Not, as anyone now would know, the prevalence of male pedophiles.

Yup, that's what he said..And he wasn't alone...I remember a therapist I saw in the early '80s furiously recounting a "lecture" she attendeded where the male shrink claimed father-daughter incest was rarely reported because BOTH parties enjoyed it.

One thing you might notice about both of these cases...Male shrinks talking about little GIRLS..No mention of boys.

20. Right, I call it the Freudian Fallacy
Freud began doing research in Paris--he frequently visited the morgue (gruesome, I know) to find children who had died violently with sexual trauma. His first paper (remember this is in sexually repressive Victorian era) to his colleagues would have been about those who are mentally sick preying on the innocent (children). However, a physician friend persuaded him that these findings would get him discredited by his colleagues. That's when he changed his position into that children have urges, that boys sexually gravitate towards their mother vying for attention with the father figure and visa versa with girls. Now, he had a female patient who had been sexually molested as a child and she became one of his long term patients--his physician friend had done numerous operations on her (cauterizing the membranes in her nose, I believe removing her septum) . She wound up dying from these procedures. Before Freud died, the physician's friend's son had wrote to Freud and told him that his first research was correct and that he had been molested by his father.

Now an Italian psychiatrist had read Freud's first research and came up with the same conclusion that there are those who prey on the innocent (children)--that these adults are the ones that are not well adjusted. He presented his conclusions to his colleagues and they ridiculed him. He committed suicide.

I read these findings in college a long time ago--I'd have to pull out my papers to get the names. But, a book was written about Freud's initial findings-the author had requested Freud's personal papers. So, I figure we still have those in psychiatry that still gravitate towards Freud's false (gotta keep my colleagues happy findings instead of the truth).

16. Not a surprise. The Catholic Church operates on
blaming the victim (especially women and children) and in pushing shame and guilt. If something bad happens to you, clearly you did something wrong to deserve it. The elders are completely incapable of taking responsibility for anything because they are an authoritarian sect. They can do no wrong.

As a recovering Catholic this does not surprise me one bit. It does disgust me though. I couldn't get away from that cult soon enough. I know there are others on this board who have different experiences with more liberal Catholic churches. Consider yourselves lucky. I wish that had been my experience.

27. Those are the words of a pedophile...
I know a great deal about pedophilia, because my own therapist
threats pedophiles. In an attempt to understand my own perpetrator,
I spent hours questioning my therapist on pedophiles and why
they do what they do and how they think.

The ONLY way a person could say that quote--is if they are a pedophile
themselves. What we have here is a pedophile excusing pedophile behavior.

This quote is typical pedophile thinking.

Pedophiles do not take responsibility for their behavior. A major hallmark of
pedophilia is that they blame the child. What is often heard from pedophiles
is that the child wanted to have sex...or that the sex wasn't harmful to the child.
Or, that the child initiated the sex.

In a pedophile's mind--it doesn't matter that a child can't consent to sex. It
doesn't matter to the pedophile, that this behavior is illegal. It doesn't matter
to the pedophile that a minor does not have an adult's understanding of sex. Pedophiles
simply forget that they "groom" children to trust them and to get them to comply with
their sexual crimes--and they simply rationalize that the child is going along. They
deny the reality--that these kids are scared, confused, upset and lack the cognitive
ability to deal with traumatizing situations. These children disassociate and become
victims--but the pedophile doesn't acknowledge their pain or even see it.

The pedophile only blames the child.

I find this incredibly sickening. This quote demonstrates that the Church and its
pedophile mafia are growing more callous by the minute. Everyday the Church
reveals itself as an organization that is a nest of child molesters. It is totally out
of control and rampant. It is most likely the case that every person in the Catholic
Church hierarchy (cardinals, etc) are pedophiles.

No other organization, besides NAMBLA, thinks this way or behaves this way.
No longer can we say that it's just a few bad priests.

The entire organization is infested.

29. So true. Only a pedophile could believe something like that.
If they truly believe that the children are somehow flirting or consenting, it shows disordered thought processes.

Years ago, I saw a documentary called "Chicken Hawk" (if I remember the name correctly) about NAMBLA and other pedophiles. One of the old creeps was all too eager to explain how he found his victims. He frequented arcades and liked to treat boys to lunch, and he also salivated about how boys were naturally flirtatious. I guess that helped him feel justified.

31. Yes, and that disordered thinking...
Edited on Fri Apr-09-10 08:02 AM by CoffeeCat
...is a sign that someone has been molesting children.

That type of twisted thinking only happens after someone has
molested children. They need some way to make it "ok" in
their own minds. So, they twist away.

It's rare that these cowardly fools ever admit what they
really think, except to each other.

My favorite one is their argument that many societies accept
adult-child sexual relationships--and it is only in the United
States that we're so provincial. They argue that it is natural
and that general society and the law are just wrong. This is
part of their pity-party mantra that they have among themselves--
about what tortured souls they are.

These people are drowning in stupidity, selfishness and a complete
inability to live in reality. Their twisted thinking really is
insidious. It's too bad that innocent children suffer so much due
to their warped minds.

the authorities begin interviewing children or adults who were around this guy a lot when the were children. Seriously, that comment raises all sorts of red flags to me. I'm no criminal profiler, nor do I have any claim to psychological expertise, but that statement REALLY evokes strong suspicion.
