Internet bullies and real life wimps

My theory on why there seem to be a lot of internet bullies in general, and not just on DU, is that most of these people are wimps in real life and wouldn't dare raise their voice or mouth off in a social situation face to face. Especially the woman bullies, they wouldn't do these things in real life that they can do on the internet.

So the internet is a release for them to express their frustrations and a way to get revenge on being a wimp and bullied themselves in every day life, they can bully people online and not have any consequences for it. Just my pet theory...
