They believe the constitution created a personhood they refer to as a "soverign citizen", a citizen of the various states (Republics) but not subject to the federal government not to corporations (banking regulations, etc). Terry Nichols of the Oklahoma City bombing was one of these - he was caught because he refused to have a license plate on his car because he was not subject to the regulations requiring him to do so.

I knew one of these guys about 25 years ago, and felt he was an arrogant idiot. He refused to pay taxes, etc, and was taken to court for it. They think they have "special knowledge" know the reality of the constitution that no one else does.....More right wing jerks....
