5. No. Racism against blacks doesn't exist
:sarcasm: :eyes:

When this issue is brought up, this is the standard response. "...its all in your head", "...stop playing the victim", "...stop playing the race card", "...get a job" and so forth. :eyes:

7. Heck .... I can be an expert on the African American urban male youth experience
I am, after all, a white (Pillsbury Dough Boy white), suburban, 48 year old woman. Young urban black males experience no discrimination :sarcasm:

Idiots

9. They couldn't find one black person for that panel?
Hell Ron Christe, Alan Keyes or any of the other Uncle Ruckus like Repukes would have been happy to say that discrimination is all in our heads and we need to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. They didn't even try.

14. Don't forget Clarence Thomas.
I know he is on the Supreme Court but somehow if he was given the opportunity he would say it.

12. How incredibly republican. And how very National Review.
Edited on Fri Apr-02-10 07:31 PM by theothersnippywshrub
I remember how sick I felt when I first read William F. Buckley Jr.'s editorials in the National Review arguing against the civil rights laws of the 1950's and 1960's. Those editorials were so very well written and so very well reasoned that they were incredibly persuasive. All the reader had to do was accept Buckley's premise that Negroes were not capable of participating in the electoral process. If the reader accepted Buckley's premise, then Buckley's conclusion that Negroes should not be allowed to vote, for their own good, was inescapable. Buckley said later in his life that his opposition to the civil rights laws was his greatest mistake and his greatest regret. Unfortunately, he already had done his damage.

This also reminds me of the time National Review published the article about the surprisingly well behaved black family dining in a restaurant.
