DH heard a news guy say, "I'm standing here on the steps of St. Anthony Hospital" and that's when DH really went into shock. He was born there. That's when he knew it was in OKC.

I was about 27 blocks away, getting ready to go into a management meeting at 9:00 am. We heard, and felt the blast, the windows in the storefront next door were blown out. We immediately thought that WE were the target - Planned Parenthood.

I like Thom Hartman, but it absolutely bugs me that he never can seem to remember that this happened in Oklahoma City. It's as though that city is just interchangeable, and it doesn't really matter where it was - it was just in the mid or center or something. We should not forget.

She was at work when the news started being reported, and as soon as she heard where it took place, she took off for home, hoping to intercept her father before he saw it on TV while he was alone in the house, but she was too late. I believe it took more than a week to find and ID him, and it was agonizing. She made up little pale blue ribbons we all wore. I still have mine.
