Killer's Ex-Wife: Scott Roeder 'Has No Remorse'
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The mother of Scott Roeder's son said she hopes her former spouse dies behind bars. Roeder's ex-wife Lindsey Roeder said on Thursday that her former husband deserves the 50 year sentence before first being eligible for parole.

Although Scott Roeder would be 77-years-old if he were paroled after 25 years, she believes if released he would act on his anti- abortion beliefs again and seek to kill another abortion doctor.

Lindsey Roeder is an abortion rights supporter and she said she doesn't believe Roe vs. Wade will be overturned in 25 years.

"After the Holocaust shooter, he was in his 80s," Lindsey Roeder said. "So you can't put it, anything past him. He has no remorse for what he did."

Lindsey Roeder said she and her 23-year-old son, Nick, have come to grips with the fact that neither of them will probably ever see Scott Roeder again as a free man. She said her son has not even made plans to visit his father.

Nick Roeder has received one letter from his father since the verdict and Lindsey Roeder said Scott Roeder continues to argue that what he did was right.

1. I didn't expect him to HAVE any
The man is mentally deranged. I don't consider him to be 'normal' in any sense of the word.

2. I am shocked!
:sarcasm:

It usually takes 10-15 years before they "turn a new leaf", I can almost guarantee he will be a "changed man" within that timespan.

3. He might work quickly. After all, he doesn't need to find Jesus.

6. Exactly. Now if he finds BUDDHA in prison, I'd be impressed
Once you're "born again" you have nowhere to go. You've hit your "Spiritual peak", your final "do-over".

Roeder crossed that line long ago.

9. He's more likely to discover the prophet Muhammad
And move from radical Christianity to radical Islam. It's not that big of a step.

10. Excellent point
There's no such thing as an "extremist Buddhist", but radical Islam would be ideal - the suppression of women, the literal reading of ancient texts, the moral superiority - it's all there.

11. I just hope they do keep him locked up for the rest of his life.
He's proved he is not civilized enough to live in society.
