A Question About Tea Partiers
Edited on Thu Apr-01-10 09:13 PM by jbeing
Anyone have an idea about how many tea partiers there actually are? It seems like they get so much attention (especially from the MSM) if they are a small number. I know they may be armed and dangerous, but I've never heard an accurate number on them.

1. You are right the MSM does give them waaaaaaaaaaaaaay
too much attention. Their numbers are always inflated by the MSM so they can make their story.

Let a gathering of 10,000 Liberals or other left group get together and you hear "crickets", the MSM acts as if the events never happpen.

28. Don't you find that curious though
there are no real numbers.....

I looked at several sites and found no hard numbers....I think that the reason we don't see them is "smoke and mirrors" the MSM is too lazy to actually fact check they simply go to blog sites and get their "facts" now.

5. At last count ...
... there are only twenty-three "known" teabaggers in the entire country.

The GOP, having perfected the art of photo-shopping attendees at Dubya events (don't look TOO closely at those "crowd scene" pics - especially when they include military attendees) are now text-shopping the number of "grassroots movement" participants.

DAMN that "librul media" for falling for the same tactic - time, after time, after time ...

16. Okay, alright ...
... let's not get the lawyers involved.

I'll give you twenty-four - twenty-five, TOPS!

Anyone who says twenty-six will spend the rest of their lives in court.

27. Think of it more in terms of ...
... a rotating buffet. Now you like it - and ten minutes later, what comes around may not be particularly appetizing.

Gives a whole new meaning to "fast or famine".

6. There were hundreds of thousands of them in Washington
Edited on Thu Apr-01-10 08:44 PM by doc03
for their march last fall. That is a fact an old high school friend sent me pictures of the crowd, no doubt about it the crowd was huge. He sent me time lapsed pictures as they marched down Pennsylvania Avenue according to him there were hundreds of thousands maybe a half million, the crowd was impressive no doubt about that.

9. Actually
It was shown that the pictures of that march were from a different rally and in a different season. I'm looking for a reliable number of Tea Partiers in the entire country.

19. I am talking about the rally last summer not the one
last fall that Fox faked. There is no doubt the first march was huge and it takes a lot of anger to motivate that many people to travel to Washington to protest, I would say that crowd rivaled the ones during the Vietnam war protests. I wouldn't underestimate the anger that Fox and the wing-nuts
have stirred up.

No, I did not cry tears of joy. I do not follow the woman-as-subservient philosophy of that organization,

17. I wonder why they get so much attention
Edited on Thu Apr-01-10 09:23 PM by jbeing
when nearly 200,000 people demonstrated in Washington D. C. for Immigration Reform and the small number of teabaggers got all the news coverage. Also, it seems like their numbers don't deserve such constant coverage. Many more people are losing jobs and homes. That much larger number of people losing homes and jobs are hoping their government will get more involved - just the opposite of the teabaggers' wishes. I just want to know what those number are.
