Help Fallen Soldiers Families.....Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder

I am sure all of you have heard by now about the Matthew Snyder case that is heading for the Supreme Court. As much as I dislike Bill O'Reilly... I must say I was pleased to hear he he would write a check for $16,500 to pay the legal fees, of the Westboro Baptist Church, that Matthew's father was ordered to pay.

I thought I would include the web address in case others were interested in helping pay for the cost of bringing the case to the Supreme Court. I do not believe any family of a serviceman, who gives their life for our country, should be subjected to this behavior at the funeral.

Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder died in Iraq in 2006. The Westboro Baptist Church picketed his funeral in Westminster, Md., because it believes troops’ deaths are God’s revenge for the United States’ tolerance of gays.

Al Snyder, the Marine’s father, sued the church and won at trial. But he lost on appeal and a federal court recently ordered him to pay the church more than $16,000 to cover its court costs. The Supreme Court has since agreed to hear the case.
