One has to wonder whether anyone in a position of influence really believes what he is selling. At best, Jamie Dimon’s defense of too big to fail banks like his own JP Morgan is a vivid illustration of Upton Sinclair’s saying, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it.” But Dimon’s patently self-serving argument is more likely part of a broader industry push to try to win over the public it just looted.

"Anyone in a position of influence" = anyone in the administration.

No one in the administration gives a rat's ass about the American people, aka "the public it just looted." (See Tim Geithner's disgusting bullshit about the unfairness of the bank bailouts.) The administration enabled and is part of the looters.

What Dimon is selling is lies, and the people he's selling it to is the American public, and the public will buy it because the administration will force it to mandate that the public buy it.

Jamie Dimon IS a demon and well deserves all the demonization he and his ilk suffer. He can eat shit and die for all I care.
