Dear MSNBC: You suck.
I watched a few minutes of Morning Joe just now. Mistake.

First they discussed a poll that showed 26% of Americans blame Obama for the country's problems, as opposed to 46% or 49% (I forget) who blame Bush. Absolutely NO discussion of the fact that more blame Bush than Obama. NO discussion of the fact that, hello, the problems clearly started during the Bush administration, regardless of who Americans choose to blame.

The whole discussion was "Gee, Obama's number has doubled from 13% to 26% in the last six months. Let's talk about what a failure he is."

Then they starting talking about health reform and it got even worse.

Maria Bartiromo brought up the tax cuts for small businesses that will help them insure their employees. "Well gee," she says, "first they have to buy the insurance. So it kind of sounds like a fee to me."

Voila! A tax cut becomes a fee. A president who accomplishes one of the most significant legislative advances in decades becomes a failure.

And THIS is the liberal media?

39. Exactly.
It's Joe Scarborough. Consider the source.

I won't throw MSNBC overboard just because of one idiotic morning show. We'd lose Keith, Ed, Dylan and Rachel, too.

4. There IS no liberal media..
... and that includes NPR.

Really, turn this stuff off. It is nothing but blatant propaganda. The fact that more than 10% of Americans actually watch this drivel is testament to the mass idiocy of this country.

Edited on Thu Apr-01-10 07:55 AM by Atman
And a GOP CEO (or whatever his official title is). Just sayin. NPR hasn't been "liberal" for years. It's one of the great media myths.

Good will won't count with purveyors of lies, distortions and misinformation. And no one does it slicker than NPR. When Juan Williams is your token liberal how are you any better than Fox?

27. I never thought I'd scream at NPR.
I had to turn it off last week when they were interviewing some bible thumping evangelist Republican senator as to his disagreement with separation of church and state as some sort of debatable item.

Presenting his BS as some sort of legitimate discussion item was appalling.

35. It's a brilliant strategy.
If by "brilliant" you understand it really means "evil."

The crazies on the right still think NPR is "liberal," so they don't listen. Meanwhile, most of the "Eastern Liberal Elites" don't realize that NPR is now just another mouthpiece for the GOP, and they listen thinking that they're somehow more informed than the common man...yet they're getting the same right-wing bullshit that Fox and MSNBC spew. So they tend to think it's more mainstream commentary. It is anything but.

I look for when Lawrence O'Donnell, Elizabeth Warren, Katrina VandenHeuval and Eugene Robinson (plus Anthony Weiner) will be on.

9. Maria is horrible. Second only to Buchanan in vitriol and misinformation.
When their guest said that things may not be as bad as the panel was making out to be once people realize there was no socialism or totalinariasm and their taxes won't be raised, she blurted "Yes they will! Their taxes are going up!" with that vile, disgusted look that seems permanently glued to her face. No counterpoint that HER taxes might go up because she is very wealthy, but REGULAR PEOPLE's will not. No mention of the huge MOE of the polls they're showing, which essentially demonstrates a potential 50% approval for the president over 48% negative. Nope, that would destroy the gloom and doom scenario they're painting. Bartiromo comes across as simply mean and selfish. IOW, a typical Republican.

12. They do suck.
Mika spent most of Tuesday morning spewing fake outrage that the "hate" on the left wasn't being covered like the vitriol coming from the teabaggers was. She held up the "DEATH THREAT" to Eric Cantor as though that trumped all the incidents from the last two weeks and never once mentioned the fact that the nut who threateded Cantor had previously threatened President Obama, Pelosi and Reid. No matter what was being discussed she managed to bring the conversation back to the DEATH THREAT of Eric Cantor. No one on the panel corrected her even though it had been reported on MSNBC that this lunatic had a history of threats and he wasn't a leftwing hater.

With FOX, it is clear, even to a moron, "how they roll" (gawd I hate that term). MSNBC plays to the left and stocks the prime time pond with liberals, but they keep the spew going as on mourning Blow.

Maria Bartoromo is a despicable person who gets far too much air time.

18. I'm glad I'm not the only one disgusted
The way they spin stupid polls, when you don't even know how the question was asked, hell most Democrats who favor the health care bill weren't excited that the President "handled" it by trying to include the ignorant party of hate to begin with, so was I thrilled with his "handling", no. Am I happy they got it done, YES!

I am grateful that almost no one watches that ignorance anyway. Mika makes me want to smack her, and I prefer not to have violent thoughts in the morning.

19. Yeah!
And we have MSNBC as the "liberal" station -- a counterbalance to Fox.

My theory is the media is our greatest challenge. Every single TV discussion, on every network, is framed in favor of the GOP/corporate view with the exception of the Ed Show, Ratigan, Olbermann and Maddow. I won't include Matthews because he is a Reagan Democrat and his show often takes a GOP turn.

And yes, it is disgusting. Even NPR and C-Span are now tainted. They knew what they were doing clear back in the 1980s when they did away with the fairness doctrine. Apparently it was all part of the plan. These people are fascists. Better start to believe it because it is a fact.
