Updated my Lung transplant Blog....

I wake up tired. I go through the day tired. It’s a bone deep weariness that eats at you no matter how upbeat or optimistic you try to be. And yet, I still plod on.

About fifteen years ago, after I think was my third or fourth hospitalization for pneumonia (some in ICU) or some other respiratory ailment, I first heard the phrase “a potential Lung Transplant may be in your future.”

4. I just went through my annual denial of RX cyclosporin

it took several months to get "prior authorization" for the pills I've taken for 13 years. Damn near used all my reserve, all because I went to a lower dosage. Package arrived yesterday. Several major bureaucracies to maneuver

3. Your story is fascinating, and scary all at once...

I'm concentrating on fascinating. I'm sure that the scary aspects will diminish as we track your progress...

I'm sure you will prevail and live many more years!

5. Bronchiectasis. I know what that is. You hang in there, take your meds,

and we'll all be pulling for a set of lungs to show up for you.

6. While your on this medical path, having your sister's nurse practioners

background sounds like a great resource and comfort.

I congradulate you on blogging your way through this waiting period, and send hugs to you as you gather the strength to prepare for this transplant.
