Apathy is evil
I would like to know what other duers believe is the root of all the pain and suffering in this world.

So many other people have said it again and again but I believe that the root of all evil is not those select few who are cruel and violent and happen to have power but those who allow it.

Family members who turn the other cheek to domestic abuse, politicians who see their colleges lying and stealing and not calling it out.

People who watch disabled or impaired individuals struggling alone who do nothing.

People who cover up the crimes of others (the Vatican anyone?) to save their own reputation.

People who are able to help others, whether its volunteering or just donating to an important cause who don't because they just "don't have the time".

It has got to stop, everyone has been guilty at one time or another.

If people can't do this, how can we be expected to fix the bigger problems of this world??!

1. sociopathy... that's what the World is dealing with
and the psychopaths who are more than willing to do the sociopath's bidding.

4. There are many songs that speak of apathy.

I think apathy leads to despair, and gets people to think they can not make a difference.

I think people can make a difference, although there are many things that want people to think they are trapped by predestination or lack of free will. That leads to people thinking they can not do anything, then them not trying.

I think if a person wants to make something happen, and if that thing is a good thing, a path will be found, not always an easy path, but having a purpose is a big part of being alive.

And just for some positive music, ( I just listened to a few apathy songs, and need a fresh view of things) .

Blind Melon - No Rain. :)

5. Meh.
If apathy is wrong, I don't really care if I'm right.
