Steele - flying high, living like a king and spending Rep money at topless bondage club
He wants to buy a plane and spends money like the Sultan of Brunei (literally, I once met a business rep for the Sultan of Brunei at the Beverly Hills Hotel).

Way to go Michael dropping $6,596 at the Four Seasons , and $1,620.71 spent at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex, man you are our very best asset.

Just keep spending it like there's no tomorrow buddy because when the average "Joe" reads about this you aren't going to have too many tomorrow's left.

http://dailycaller.com/2010/03/29/high-flyer-rnc-chairman-steele-suggested-buying-private-jet-with-gop-funds/

According to two knowledgeable sources, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele once raised the possibility of using party money to buy a private jet for his travel.

. . .

Steele’s spokesman, Doug Heye, did not deny that such discussions took place, responding that the RNC never had a “plan” to buy a plane. “I don’t know what somebody might have discussed or might not have discussed.”

While Steele has not purchased a plane, he continues to charter them. According to federal disclosure records, the RNC spent $17,514 on private aircraft in the month of February alone (as well as $12,691 on limousines during the same period). There are no readily identifiable private plane expenses for Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine in the DNC’s last three months of filings.

. . .

Once on the ground, FEC filings suggest, Steele travels in style. A February RNC trip to California, for example, included a $9,099 stop at the Beverly Hills Hotel, $6,596 dropped at the nearby Four Seasons, and $1,620.71 spent at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.

RNC trips to other cities produced bills from a long list of chic and costly hotels such as the Venetian and the M Resort in Las Vegas, and the W (for a total of $19,443) in Washington. A midwinter trip to Hawaii cost the RNC $43,828, not including airfare.

29. It's up at Huffington Post, big story. Comment attributed to an "aide":
"Complaints, almost always expressed off the record, have been bitter. "This is not somebody who is out recruiting candidates," said an aide who worked closely with Steele. "He is not meeting with donors. He's not asking for money. The guy is writing his book or doing his speaking gigs, or whatever the hell else he fills his days with. Those are his priorities."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/29/voyeur-west-hollywood-mic_n_516903.html

The arrogance of these people is scary. They assume they can do absolutely anything they want and get away with it. They assume the American people are all FOX TV-watching sheep lining up to be sheared. People this arrogant are capable of true outrages, like starting a war for profit...oh wait, they've already done that one....

are making it out to be. Its a very upscale themed club in West Hollywood, often the sight of celebrity and charity events. Its not a "strip club" (not that there's anything wrong with strip clubs imo).

66. No one has asked the important question...
Was Steele there schmoozing a potential donor?

Why else would the RNC get the bill? After all, Steele can't be so stupid as to leave a paper trail when there's no benefit for his party. He could have gone there and chosen not to put it on his expense account, which would mean the nasty liberal media wouldn't ever have known. But as it did make the expense account, I have to suspect he was there to try to secure donations to the RNC.

Steele wanted to show someone special a good time. I wonder who.
