Anyone got some mad Flash animation skillz looking to riff Teabaggers?
Edited on Sun Mar-28-10 11:58 PM by Capitalocracy
Also looking for a couple of voice actors who can do good imitations of Orly Taitz, Glenn Beck, Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh, David Icke, Sarah Palin, and Dick Cheney.

I know this may not be the appropriate place to look, but I'm looking for like-minded people for this project. And of course, I can't pay, but if it's done well it could go viral, so if it did make money, I would share it in a rather socialist way. If you've got the skillz and would like to see the script, email me at capitalocracy at gmail.com.

The basic idea is an X Files parody of the teabaggers, called The T Files. So anyone who can do a good Mulder, Scully, or Skinner voice is more than welcome to apply as well.

Thanks, sorry if this is out of place

1. I Hope You Get Your Talent!
I want to see the finished cartoon!
I can do voices and I've made fun of Sara P. and her "You Betchas."
(BTW I've always liked hokey expressions used for comic punch and I resent her pissing all over "you betcha,")
But I don't know how good.
My daughter won't let me talk about SP any more, because she hates the way my angry voice starts to sound.

3. Email me and I'll send you the script if you want
Sarah Palin's part is just one line. Obviously we should have the best Sarah Palin possible, but it's not actually that demanding if you can nail that one part.

There's no "you betcha", but there's an "I gotcha"

Can't wait to see it when you're done. Hope you find everyone you need to make it happen.

5. A little bit more explanation...
I don't want to give the whole thing away, in case I can actually get this thing made, but the idea is that they have to go and investigate why it is exactly that so many people can believe such nonsensical and self-contradictory things. It'll be a sort of movie trailer format.

6. K&R
I wish I could help, but I've got an ancient computer, and I can't imitate any of those people. :(

Perhaps you could scour YouTube to find videos by people who have done projects similar to yours, and ask them if they'd work with you? Just an idea, in case nobody here at DU has the ability to help.

God knows if I had Flash animation skills, I'd be having all sorts of fun with the conserva-liars....

7. Thanks...
yeah, that's what I'm doing as well. I figured this would be a good place to look because most people here, if they happen to do that sort of thing, would probably be interested in the project, but I'm also looking for animation forums and stuff... I don't really move in those circles so wish me luck

9. Well, any help would be appreciated...
If you know anyone who does animation, or any voice actors who can imitate the characters I've listed, that would be a great start... It's basically full of stuff that's really easy to do animated that you need a big budget for to do live action, so simple Flash or Flash-like animation is definitely the way to go on zero budget.

Another eye on the script is always nice, would you like to read it?
