Ann Arbor.com reporting: FBI raids in Washtenaw, Lenawee counties tied to Michigan militia group
This is being reported on Ann Arbor.com so take it as you will:

FBI raids in Washtenaw, Lenawee counties tied to Michigan militia group

http://www.annarbor.com/news/fbi-conducts-raids-in-washtenaw-lenawee-counties/

The FBI conducted raids Saturday night in Washtenaw County and the Lenawee County area in an investigation involving members of Hutaree, a Christian-oriented militia group based in Lenawee County, AnnArbor.com has learned.

The nature of those raids has not been made public. FBI Special Agent Jason Pack, who is based in Washington, D.C., said he did not know how many people were taken into custody. Gina Balaya, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Detroit, could not be reached for comment today.

"I can confirm that there is ongoing law enforcement activity in the Ann Arbor general area," Pack said in a written statement. "Since the federal warrants are under court ordered seal, legally we cannot provide further comment at this time."

Local Michigan militia member Jimmy Schiel said he was told five people were arrested - including one known member of Hutaree. Schiel said the five were reportedly arrested during a raid at a service in the Ann Arbor area for a Hutaree member who died recently. Schiel was told about eight Hutaree members were present. Schiel, who said he was invited but did not attend, spoke to a Hutaree member who was at the service, he said.

Hutaree members couldn't be reached for comment today. As AnnArbor.com reported last week, several Hutaree members were recently involved in searches in Bridgewater Township after two residents went missing in separate incidents. Schiel worked closely with Hutaree members during those searches.

The FBI set up a command post at the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department late last week. Sheriff's spokesman Derrick Jackson could not be reached this morning.

Several other raids took place around the same time in Sandusky and Huron in Ohio, but it's not clear whether those raids are related.

.............

We will know more soon I assume and if anyone else find anything more please post it.

1. There are also raids in Ohio and Illinois. All the warrants are sealed and
no official will comment on what is going on or why.

2. Stupid paper printing misleading headlines.
The Michigan Militar is a active militia group, and this headline implies something that is false.

Hutaree is another Christian militia group of nuts tha tlike to dress up for combat and train in the woods to overthrow the evil U.S. Government in the name of Jesus Christ their lord and Savior.

5. In searching the web for hutaree it appears if there are groups of
militia with this name including in Texas. They claim to be christian and are getting ready for the end-times battles and the anti-christ. From there it is fairly simple to figure out what the raids are all about.

Once again we need to pray "Lord, protect us from Your followers."

9. It makes me get chills when I think about that very fact. What Gandhi said was so true.
I haven't found a Christian Church that allows me the freedom to believe in the true teachings of Jesus so I pray for guidance on my own and live my life as best as I can in his teachings alone.

8. I bet the only info we'd get is from the family members of those taken into custody/questioning, and
not from MSM, unless further violence breaks out from these groups. (that is, if that is what this was relating to, or any of their goals of getting together in the 1st place. I wish we really knew what was going on up there, but I'm glad it appears the US govt is taking these nutty militias seriously!)

20. Color me surprised NOT
Michigan Militia involved...

Oh and bad reporting...

The Michigan Militia was never, ever able to be tied to OKC... they were good at covering their trails and the membership of one Tim McVeigh... but that is when they came to the people's consciousness for all of two seconds.

Either the reporter does not know this... or they are being lazy... your choice.

24. That is why the Federal Anti Terrorism Task Force is involved
this is the translation... since all this went without a hitch, we can tell people there was no terror involved, or even shadows of it.

And the sad part is people will believe it since they are really bad at adding things up
