2.  Barbara Bush hospitalized
According to a spokesperson, she hadn't been feeling well for the last couple of weeks, and at the request of her doctor, went to Methodist Hospital for routine testing. She should be released in a couple of days.

This is the second time the former First Lady has been admitted to the hospital in recent years. Back in November of '08, she underwent laparoscopic surgery for a perforated ulcer.

Also, she thinks living in a covered arena with 40,000 other homeless people is a GOOD thing!

13. Alice Roosevelt
Edited on Sat Mar-27-10 09:09 PM by REP
When Senator Joseph McCarthy asked her, "How are you, Alice?" she stated that the garbagemen, taxi drivers and street sweepers in her neighborhood could call her by her first name, but that he could call her "Mrs. Longworth."

121. OK, then you just don't articulate your thoughts very well, it seems
There was also no sanctimony involved. I simply expressed my feeling and answered the question you asked. I made no judgments for or against you.

I was the one who said I didn't wish anyone such ill and you said you had the opposite feeling. I don't see as how anyone could draw any different conclusion. Since you would rather cast dispersion rather than clarify your statement, I'll leave you to settle the matter on your own as I don't care to discuss it anymore.

Have a nice day!

75. So many ghouls here on DU.
You don't have to like her, you don't have to care. But to go out of your way to be cruel? That's the same ego that FR would embrace cheering something bad happening to Clinton.

Be better than them.

89. I agree, we shouldn't be cruel like right wingers...
But we can express concern and still point out the facts about her sociopathic son who started a war based on lies and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis. Bush also is a war criminal who ordered torture performed on prisoners. The rest of Barbara's offspring all have dubious lives filled with shading dealings. While I hope Barbara gets well quick, I can never quite understand what she taught her children to make them such opportunistic sociopaths. And when Barbara made that 'my beautiful mind' statement she distanced herself from any link to humanity or understanding humanity...
