I got to ask Alan Grayson 2 questions!
Happened to check Americablog a few minutes ago and there was a live chat with Congressman Grayson. I typed in a couple of questions and just like that... he was replying!

wicked cool.....

anyway, i'm Adam.

Do you believe that Public financing of elections or some type of campaign finance reform that removes corporations from the equation is possible? Is there a bill or anyone working on this?

6. Thanks so much! That's my little Jack...
He's a Brussels Griffon, and also rescue. I'm so grateful that he found me. Here's my favorite of his puppy pix. Hard to believe that he'll be four at the end of the month... :loveya:

10. It's an unusual breed.
I wasn't familiar with it until I adopted Meneken in 2002, at age nine. My friend said he looked like an Ewok, but I said he looked more like a Furby, LOL. Previously, I've adopted senior dogs, but Jack found me at five months. He was being fostered by a vet tech who used to work for my vet and she knew Meneken, so contacted me about Jack... When people ask about him, I mention the movie, "As Good As It Gets..." ;)

just has a really "knowing" look. Probably an intelligent, sensitive breed... lovely.

Cheers!

i love that the guy has a sense of humor. How often does that happen with a politician? (OK, with the exception of Sen Franken...)

13. strangely enough...
i was just checking out FDL and got to ask Mr Romanoff (Dem primary challenger to Sen Bennett of CO) a couple of questions...

first question
druidity36 March 25th, 2010 at 3:21 pm

Admittedly i am a Massachusetts voter, and Marijuana possession was recently decriminalized here (somewhat), but i wonder if you have any thoughts about the current Medical Marijuana initiatives in CO and if you see any chance of future legalization…

Thanks for your time and pulling for us progressives, btw…

cheers

second question
druidity36 March 25th, 2010 at 3:26 pm

More questions, is there a particular issue or passion that brought you to politics in the first place? Any things in particular that you’d like to see our current Senate tackle?

he didn't answer the first one but in answer to the second, he said...

Andrew Romanoff March 25th, 2010 at 3:34 pm
In response to druidity36 @ 40 (show text)

I was inspired by my mom’s experience as a social worker and my grandparents’ work on Project Hope, which brings medical supplies around the world. Teaching in Central America and working at the Southern Poverty Law Center were two of the most formative experiences of my life. I’d like the Senate to tackle financial reform and a stronger package on the economy (some details on my website at http://www.andrewromanoff).

no one else on the thread mentioned Marijuana or Colorado's recent travails with Legalization for medicinal use...
