Who issues the GOP talking points? I hate to sound conspiratorial,
but do you see Bohner or Cantor making these decisions? Romney? McCain? Palin? Rove? Gingrich? Any of the Bushes? Is there an eminence grise somewhere?

8. A group called the Center for National Policy holds regular meetings
Attended by very high level Republican politicians, conservative media figures, and corporate honchos. It's literally where the talking points are passed out. http://www.cnponline.org/

17. cnp = the dominionist/christian fundie wing. funders have included
the hunt brothers (oil), cullen davis family (oil), wr grace family (shipping, chemicals, materials e.g. asbestos), prince/devos family (auto, blackwater, amway), sun myung moon (korean intelligence, fishing industry, real estate), some mormon factions...

heritage has a bit of a broader base; its board & personnel include these interests, & there are shared funders -- but other interests as well. funders include coors, scaife & his various foundations, steve forbes (forbes mag), moon, walmart & a bunch of other fortune 500 corps, the kochs (oil), etc...
