Gov. Gregoire of Washington: My attorney general does not represent me
Source: The Stranger

Following on Dwight Pelz's harsh response to Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna's attack on the new health care reform bill, Gov. Christine Gregoire says, in a statement just released by her office:

I’m disappointed that the Attorney General would participate in a lawsuit to repeal a law that would help 1.5 million Washingtonians get access to affordable, quality health care.

I completely disagree with the Attorney General’s decision and he does not represent me.

6. He's an elected official just like she is.
I'm neither a Rob McKenna fan nor a corporate mandate fan, so I can't take either side in this argument.

But McKenna won't be fired until November 2012. Hopefully.

4. I'm a Washington state resident and I'm PISSED
This puts us in a category with the lowest of the low. How dare he! I have always been proud of my state; it takes good care of its citizens and we pride ourselves on our literacy, education, and liberal politics.

I'm disgusted. Guess I need to send an email to someone!

7. I figured Rossi would run again, lol
McKenna is a better choice from a Repugnant stand point.

8. Rossi isn't likely to run for anything again--he is too tied to a real estate scandal

11. what is that about?
Is there a particular story that is ongoing about this? Always figured he was involved in some "deals" but never heard of anything in particular.
Is the Times following something?
