Rs keep saying that the HCR cuts $500-b out of Medicare benefits. My understanding is that HCR stops overpaying Medicare Advantage by the 12% it currently overpays and brings MA more in line with regular Medicare.

Anybody know if this is correct? Does that account for the entire $500-b?

It's shameful the media lets them get away with lies like that.

3. I know that's part of it
But I don't think it's all of it. I hope they also have some plans to cut down on Medicare fraud.

4. It's cuts to Medicare Advantage, which is privatized Medicare and
between that and the Medicare Part D Prescription boondoogle, it's draining the program of funds faster than it would without those two. I'm for ending both, giving Medicare Part B full coverage and making the prescription drug plan a public plan. They could do it and make the program more cost effective with better coverage. It would cost less to run.

6. Repukes NEVER supported Medicare in 1965
and have sought to destroy it ever since;remember Gingrinch and his let it wither on the vine comments... So anything the repukes say about Medicare is SUSPECT and likely a BIG LIE!
