Fla. Senate panel OKs (car) tags with corporate logos - not a joke

http://www.ocala.com/article/20100319/ARTICLES/100319667/1340/NEWS?Title=Fla-Senate-panel-OKs-tags-with-corporate-logos

A Florida Senate panel has approved bills that would cut annual license plate fees by $6 and give motorists a chance to save more through tags emblazoned with corporate logos.

Both bills Friday cleared the Transportation and Economic Development Appropriations Committee.

Lawmakers last year raised a variety of motor vehicle fees including those paid to obtain and renew driver license and the annual tag fees partly based in part on how much a vehicle weight.

The total fee increase for a mid-size sedan was about $25. All motorists, though, would get the same $6 reduction regardless of vehicle weight.

Details haven't yet been worked out, but motorists who choose corporate logo tags would get additional savings.

8. Should make it easier to identify the scumbags that work for corporations.
Will they allow government employees to apply for corporate plates? Wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? How about the politicians?

5. I hope it bites them in the ass.
Let's see. A Florida resident is driving through another state and is caught by a photo speeding or running a red light. They issue a ticket after checking their database. The recipient receives the ticket and lo and behold they sent it to the wrong person. Why? Because the they have license plates with the same numbers.

That apparently is the problem here in Indiana. They have so damn many special license plates and have the same numbers. All under a scumbag Republican Governor.

9. This is a great way to
get the whole thing out in the open. Does anyone expect the future to not be like swimming in a deep lake of logos?

People already proudly wear the logos of products they worship, so why not emblazon the brand of the owners on everything? Cattle are branded or tagged to indicate ownership.

If you are sensitive to the endless surge of corporate presence, you might tend to notice the amount of product placement in movies and television shows.

The United Corporations of America, (division of World Inc.) is taking off the facade, that's all. They are more openly claiming what is rightfully theirs.

Instead of ethnicity or nationality, future humans may be identified by what brand they are.

Age ____ Sex ____ Brand _____.
