6. They damn near took power in the late 50s, right before the Ba'athists took over. ALTHOUGH...

the Communist Party in Iraq then wasn't like the Soviet Union version. It was more of a Nationalist party and actually probably would have been a stable gov't for some time if it wasn't for the politics of fear of the Soviet threat in the US at that time.

It is important to note that there are other organizations working for a just secular society in which working people's interests are supported, but the various variants and the differences among them are less important than the fact that they are the one set of forces opposed to both religious crazies and neocolonial enslavement.

15. Haven't you heard the DLC and neocon analyses of the millions who opposed

the invasion. According to them, ANSWER and UFPJ are commies and those who joined them were participating in a commie rally.
