When this passes (and it better pass or you can kiss the Obama
Presidency good bye) remember where you are. This is of historic importance.

For the record the last two important votes of this import (Medicare Part D and the vote for war for Bush's little adventures,) I KNOW where I was. I was at my computer, watching this on the SPAN, in Hawaii. For the first one my Sun Conure was running all over the place, it was still day. For the second one, that lasted until six in the morning DC time and way into the night in Hawaii, the conure was snoozing happily in her cage.

For both my hubby was on patrol, in the middle of the Pacific... ok the first one he was not quite in the Pacific, but you get my drift.

Tonight he is at work... and here I am, having just had some strawberries, about to watch another historic vote. Perhaps the most important in my life time.

So here we are... and realize this... you and I are about to share in history.

1. Well he wasn't going to get reelected if it failed
I'm pretty happy about this...I hate the insurance company mandate.

I love the regulations and subsidies.

Obama has my vote.

3. I really can't believe people are being so naive about this garbage
this is as bad as the unPATRIOTic Act, and yet just because the dems are pushing it, we're supposed to believe it's actually for the common good.

That is just about as naive as they come, in my opinion.

Does no one here remember the so-called Consumer Protection Act? That was a dem driven bill, to, and a huge handout to the credit card companies.

This is just the same thing for the insurance industry. It's a boon for them, and a new nightmare for the rest of us.

Your joy is mispaced in the extreme, in my opinion.

4. No, this is as bad as SOCIAL SECURITY was in 1935
a little less than Medicare was in 1965.

That is history, and each of these programs was ahem IMPROVED UPON.

So my joy is.. .that is is THE BEGINNING OF THE FIGHT, NOT THE END.
