1. It's not healthcare. It's the win for us that RP will do anything to stop.

2. Here's My Take
Here's my take on this....

Remove all of the Republican crap from the bill then push it through. As far as for any Dems in the insurance company's pockets; have Rahm call then in and threaten to kick their ass in the parking lot behind the Capitol if it doesn't pass.

5. the back room dealers know they manipulated this into a pretty bad bill
and the public knows they stand against a pretty bad bill

It isn't a paradox, it is being two faced.

7. They don't have to, the democrats are going to push it through.
The repubs can then play both sides, the teabaggers and the ins. corporations. It's a win win and quite a coup considering a little over a year ago the repubs were politically declared the equivalent of brain dead.

The mandate without a strong public option and minus regulatory reform that puts the government permanently in charge of the insurance industry will destroy democrats.

The repubs will thoroughly enjoy and exploit their front row seat.

10. because they can oppose it politically
rally their base and not have to get their hands dirty passing a bill that their corporate contributors can live with.

12. They can have it both ways - shape it and then claim they had nothing to do with, win-win for them
with their base.
