Do I think Health Care will pass. I am reasonably sure it will pass the house, by a very thin margin. Once it gets to the senate literally anything can happen there. The house is correct to distrust the senate. My guts tell me it will probably pass the senate as well. But then my guts have been wrong before. Based on them, I trusted Obama a year ago. Not any more.

I oppose the bill. All it does is force 30 million or so new customers into the loving embrace of the insurance company. Any "reforms" it supposedly have will turn out in the end to be meaningless. The insurance companies have good lawyers, and they will appeal and sue forever.

Congress should vote this down, and simply vote Congressman Grayson's Medicare For All bill into law. I don't think Obama would have the balls to veto it, and if he did, goodbye to him in 2012. Grayson's bill would smash the stranglehold of the insurance companies, perhaps even put some of them out of business. No loss there.
