Something kinda nice about us. . .

Having been to many of our rallies and town halls and marches, and having seen the signs and visages of those who frankly don't care as much about others as we do,
it occurs to me that we have a lot of something that they seem to lack. Can you guess what it is? Please share if you've noticed the same phenomenon:

Even the guy with Parkinson's who was being terrorized by the money flinging teabaggers had the grace to stay peaceful and not throw hate back. I was proud of the way he handled their thuggery. Whoever you are dude, I wish you the best! If I were rich, I'd send you a check to cover your health insurance for the rest of your life.

3. Well, our signs have "thank you" on the back

I attended a fairly large rally organized by OFA at Rep. Melissa Bean's office in Schaumburg, IL last Tuesday. A couple hundred of us showed up. A number of people had homemade signs (Honk for Health Care; Get It Done Now, etc.), but many of us took the Organizing for America signs. On the front they say "Standing Together for Health Care Reform" ... and when people driving by gave us the thumbs up or a honk, we were able to turn our signs around to give a great big "Thank You".

I thought it was better than the teabaggers who showed up (after much cell-phoning to call for reinforcements). Theirs were all meanie "socialism" signs and full of negativity.
