Screw you, you little prick from the DNC phone banks
Got a call today asking for money. He got through his spiel of asking me for over 100 bucks and I told him I had a few reasons why I wasn't going to give him money. First, I'm broke. He continued to push it at that point, wouldn't leave it be at just that. After his second spiel, I told him I was going to give him the rest of my reasons. I told him nobody was getting my money (even 5 bucks) until the democrats grew a spine (war, health care, civil rights etc.) He interrupted me rudely. I let him have his say, and I tried to explain AGAIN, and the little fucker interrupted me AGAIN!. I then told him he was rude, and he said basically I haven't seen rude yet from him and that he was holding back, and he continued on that way until I just hung up on him.

SO

hey you little shit, if you are reading this, I've probably been a registered democrat since you were in diapers. So, SUCK IT!

5. So he really thought that was an effective way to raise money?
I'm betting if his supervisor heard that conversation, he'd be out of a job right away.

6. I told the DSCC caller the same thing last week.
From what I read here, many others are doing the same. Maybe the message will be heard but now with the Citizen United decision, we may not matter much anymore.

13. DSCC called me last week too
I told him to suck it.

1) Continually interrupted me, as with the OP

2) Didn't know how to pronounce my name, despite being American (sounded NY or NJ-ish)

3) Told him I wasn't going to passively receive whatever corporatist DINO they wanted me to work for. I'd choose my own candidates from our own local talent pool.

25. The only reason I haven't unsubbed is that they do send petition links that
I don't mind signing and news alerts and so forth. If they only ever asked for dough they would have been history ages ago.

10. you tell 'em, Maine-ah
that's a bunch of crap. Why are you expected to be treated rudely and still give $$? Write them a letter and let them know what these folks they have calling are doing.

12. I've been telling these guys (nicely) I'm only giving directly to candidates this year.
Those candidates will be democrats but they're going to have to show they're from the 'democratic wing of the democratic party'

14. I got a fat fundraising envelope from Michael Steele today!
No idea how I got on his mailing list but there was a return envelope inside. I cut off the part of the begging note with my name on it and put it along with a handful of old lead fishing weights inside (ignoring where it said "your first class stamp will help us cut expenses".)

I figure it weighs about a pound, probably the post office will weigh it and calculate the postage...
:D

19. I can top that. I was selected to represent Republicans in my congressional district.
It arrives the same day as a gay porno brochure from Jet Set Studios. Guess what I stuffed that free postage envelope with. I hope Phyllis Schlaffly open it.

31. If you get clear packing tape, you can stick the return mailer right onto a box!
Say a box of phone books, or bricks, things of that nature. The post office will gladly deliver it postage due.

The more you know!

26. We don't answer our landline anymore, just let the machine get it. Solves the problem nicely.
Telemarketers of all shades have gone overboard in recent years, so we stopped answering altogether. I still get mailings which I just ignore and throw away, kinda like what the Democratic party has done to many constituencies on the left. Turnabout is fair play.

the only thing I would contribute to was a fund to purchase spines for the Democrat member of Congress.
