1. Makes me wonder who is who on this board. I thought we were
supposed to be applauding Dem successes. And yes, I realize there are a lot of things to dislike, about HCR and any administration, but this seems over-the-top to me.

Guess that's why I didn't join in that free-for-all. :P

2. I Am Trying Not To Make Any Editorial Comments
But he's a president and not a monarch . A president has to satisfy a lot of different interest groups to get things done; many of which have competing demands and fundamentally different goals.

Oh well, I am a struggling small business owner who can't really pay his bills, not a philosopher.

4. It Got A Ton Of Reccommends. A Ton.
Maybe I'm jaded. But it's hard to get anything done.

I believe in choice. Therefore if I was king there would be a public option. Everybody would be eligble for the public option. If you didn't want to avail yourself of the public option you can buy a private plan or supplement your governement plan with private insurance. That makes sense to me.

I guess the Republicants and the insurance companies dislike and fear a public option is because they are afraid there won't be enough people to buy into private insurance.

6. That's Fine
Really no different than making a public option to everybody available.

However, if someone wanted to supplement it they could.

8. That would essentially be the Australian system
And it would be one of the major reasons why small businesses do quite well around here.

Bottom line though is that Obama cultivated high expectations without intending to fight for- much less fulfil them.

Then come comments like those you referenced- which only rub salt in the wounds.

Is it any wonder people are expressing these sorts of opinions?

I mean, what does the president expect when he goes before the Chamber of Commerce and takes a swipe at teachers? Trust and support for his new plan from an important constituency?

How does he think people are going to react when tells Bloomberg that he doesn't begrudge banksters their bonuses and then compares them with baseball players?

9. This health care "reform" has been talked about for over 100 years!!!!
Has always been dismissed as "too hard", even "impossible" by Congress, who have been taking payments from insurance companies for generations. It is really amazing to me that we get anything at all of any benefit to the regular people of this country given that the government has run on corruption so completely and for so long.

10. I wouldn't put much store in the comment made on Fox
I watched just enough to see Obama held his own as best he could. Those guys are good at what they do they are professionals, professional jerks that is....Why anyone would agree to go on Fox is beyond me....Glutton for punishment I guess. As far as the comment goes...It's been a long time since this debate began and I am sure there was a lot cut in that time. Yes Obama had some miss-steps along the way, so did Congress...But considering everything we still have a decent bill we can fix. Republicans are still going to use every trick in their books to keep this from happening. they have made people second guess their votes by their unrelenting attacks. Until that vote is taken we are not out of the woods. It wouldn't surprise me if the violence we have seen escalates. I do wonder just how many Hillary Supporters or posting on the other thread...It would be interesting to see their ages also

11. Yeah, we're pissed.
I wonder if he gets that, or even cares. Obviously not, he's doing a fine job ignoring and degrading liberals so far.

He has come to this point as a direct result of his policies.
