From The Hill: Whip Count as of 3/17: 74 of 79 "yes" from Progressive Caucus, but
only 13 "yes" (firm-7, likely-6) from the Blue Dog Coalition along with 22 firm "no" and 19 "undecided".

WHIP COUNT: House Democrats' positions on the healthcare reform bill

http://thehill.com/homenews/house/85693-whip-watch-the-hills-survey-of-house-dems-positions-on-healthcare-

Sounds like House progressives are largely on board. The one "no" is Luis Gutierrez of Illinois who doesn't like the language excluding immigrants. There are still 4 "undecided" among progressives: Marcia Fudge (Ohio), Marcy Kaptur (Ohio), John Hall (NY), and Mike Capuano (MA). The Democrats who are in the Blue Dog Coalition and those that aren't in either group still need a lot of work.

(Of course, there is another "coalition" with 178 members who will all be voting "NO". :) )

1. These 'Blue Dog' Wretches, Ma'am, Need To Be Whipped Into Line
The fact that they are too stupid to live is beside te point. Their only hope of political survival this year is to vote 'Aye!' on all White House and Democratic initiatives. If they do not, the margin of their defeat will be the committed Democrats in their districts, who are their real base of support, who can see no particular rason to vote for someone who will not stand by the people and the Party. The Republicans will assail them mercilessly even if they vote 'Nay' on this bill; they can do nothing to prevent vicious assault by the enemy, but can avoid discouraging their core supporters....

2. Dear Luis G
Not one of those people for whom you are falling on your sword ever voted for you.
