1. Jeez, I could name at least 20 Republicans who are ALWAYS obnoxious
and they are never dissed like Franken is in this article. If Franken played the comedian then he would be criticized for not being serious. But when he tries to show he is serious about doing his job then he catches hell for not being the nice affable Stuart Smiley.
the myth that MSNBC is the most 'liberal' of the so-called liberal media, that is. The cable channel has drawn viewers with a scant handful of decent hosts, but never forget who owns MSNBC or the agenda of those corporate overlords.
6. This is the standard description for him on the right wing blogs.
The local paper comment threads are filled with the repetition of "Angry Al" from wingers every time a Franken article appears. Of course, it never has anything to do with the articles.
9. Whatever, I just never liked him much, It seems like it's
your job to laugh at him, not his job to make you laugh. I don't think sarcasm is comical. If you don't agree, please post some of his very funny moments, maybe it went over my head.
I agree with the OP though, I wish Franken was my Senator too. Regardless of how "mean" this article attempts to paint Franken (because let's face it, a Democrat with a spine??!? How skewwey! :scared:) I'm proud of his work and I'm proud that he knows why he's there.
